The Annual General Meeting
Each year, Members and guests of the Southern Alberta Land Trust Society (SALTS) are invited to the Annual General Meeting to hear what has happened over the past year and discuss the successes and direction of our land trust. Members also get to vote on new directors, or existing directors whose term is up and who wish to remain on the board.
The Directors of SALTS are accountable to the Members who in turn control the organization by electing Directors. To become a Member of SALTS you must apply for Membership, pay the annual fee, and be approved by the current Board of Directors. People who donate a conservation easement to SALTS automatically become lifetime Members.
